Review: Floral Romper from Amazon

It all started when I was looking for a dress or romper for my birthday party. I know this sounds crazy but I couldn't find ANYTHING I liked. I looked on all websites I could possibly think of: Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, Tobi, Morning Lavender, H&M, Forever 21, Macy's, and more. I just wasn't a fan of any of the prints or styles out right now or my size was not available for the ones I did like.

Finally, I got desperate. Last minute, I settled on this romper from Amazon because it was only $18 and had Prime shipping and looked cute enough. Surprisingly, I actually liked it. Because it was an affordable find, I wanted to share the pros and cons.

The Amazon item details don't provide any measurements, so here are ones that I took myself on the size Small:
  • Waist stretched out - 32in
  • From top hem to bottom hem - 28in

Fit
Reading reviews, I got a little nervous. But I'm 5'0'', 90lbs for reference and the Small fit me well. The straps are adjustable and the length is perfect.

Pros
  • 2 front pockets
  • Great length for petites (28in from top hem to bottom hem)
  • Adjustable waist tie
  • Really cute halter back
  • Very light and comfortable, perfect amount of loose - great for 90+ degree weather
  • Affordable at under $18
  • Qualifies for Amazon Prime shipping

Cons
  • Not the same pattern as the picture - My pattern is a bit busier than the one pictured on Amazon.
  • Kind of a pain to take off and on because it's a halter - You have to loosen the straps every time I used the restroom and retighten them afterward.
  • Thin material so you can see anything underneath - Good for a swimsuit cover-up but the dark, busy pattern covered a good amount.
  • Arm area is revealing - I tried this on with a sticky bra and even that peeked out the sides. As you can see from the 3rd photo on Amazon, the model's boob is totally peeking out the side so that's why I see it best as a swimsuit cover-up. In the photo below, you can see my swimsuit top showing from the side.
  • Need to steam or iron - I steamed mine to get some wrinkles out.

Here's a photo from my birthday celebration. I'm wearing a black two-piece swimsuit underneath but it's not incredibly noticeable in pictures from far away besides the arm area! (One good thing about the unexpected busy pattern.)

Hope you found this review helpful. I know it's not the perfect romper but for $18 it's not a bad one for summer!
